God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza, Translated by Christopher Hampton
March 25-29

Picture
Crested Butte Mountain Theatre opens the 2014 Production season with God of Carnage, written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton on Tuesday, March 25th for a five-night run at the Mallardi Cabaret Theatre. Directed by CBMT Managing Artistic Director Harry Woods, God of Carnage features Melanie Hall, T.J. Hamilton, Tricia Seeberg and Ian Wrisley in this fascinating look at parenting, diplomacy and tolerance – all fueled by pure bile.

A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters. Doors open at 7:00PM for a curtain at 7:30PM at the Mallardi Cabaret Theatre, Second & Elk, Crested Butte.  You can purchase tickets in advance at our online Box Office or by calling 970-349-0366.
