Dark of the Moon sweeps the Golden Marmot Awards
Crested Butte Mountain Theatre’s 40th Anniversary production of Dark of the Moon walked away with top honors at the Golden Marmot Awards held march 23rdat the Mallardi Cabaret Theatre.
The Golden Marmot Awards recognize outstanding theatrical work done over the past year by members of our community who have participated in productions at the Crested Butte Mountain Theatre. In 2012 CBMT celebrated its 40th anniversary providing a well-balanced theatrical season of high artistic quality that entertains, educates and enriches the Crested Butte community.
Congratulation to the following 2012 Golden Marmot Award winners: Donielle Carr- Best Actress for Dark of the Moon, Kevin Taylor- Best Actor for Dark of the Moon, Annie Pyron – Best Supporting Actress for Urinetown, the Musical, Daniel Benoit –Best Supporting Actor for both Urinetown, the Musical and Dark of the Moon, Adelle Bachman – Best Character Actress for Dark of the Moon, Brady Snow – Best Character Actor for Dark of the Moon, Christen Bray – Best Young Actor for Happily Ever After, Avery Pulley – Best Young Actress for Happily Ever After, Brayden Rudzinski – Best Supporting Young Actor for Dark of the Moon, Danielle Gillman – Best Supporting Young Actress for Thank You for Flushing My Head in the Toilet, Patricia Seeberg – Best Actress in a Ten-Minute Play, Brian McLain– Best Actor in a Ten-Minute Play, Kathryn Vogel – Best Ten-Minute Play (Do I Need A New Puppy), Kristi Sargent – Best
Costume Design for Dark of the Moon, Scott Little – Best Lighting Design for Dark of the Moon, September Sack (Yale)– Best Stage Manager for Urinetown, the Musical, Daniel Benoit – Best Sound Design for Dark of the Moon, Charles Ford – Best Set Design for Urinetown, the Musical, Barbara Segal – Best Director for Dark of the Moon, Outstanding production for 2012 – Dark of the Moon.
Paul Merck received the Volunteer of the Year Award.
A special thank you goes out to Le Bosquet, The Last Steep, Maxwell’s, and Ryce for their great food and to September Sack, Jo Ann Macy, Andrew Hadley, Ron Davison, Lori Duncan, Patrick Ring and Donielle Carr for service and commitment above and beyond.
