UNDERWRITING OPPORTUNITY

Crested Butte Mountain Theatre will present the hit musical Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim in the summer of 2008 and is seeking underwriters to help defray the costs. This amazingly creative, intertwining tale that brings your favorite fairy tale characters together will be shown at the Center for the Arts and is a collaboration with the Crested Butte Music Festival. Using some of CBMF's musicians, our audiences will be treated to live music. Directed by past artistic director Shoshana Partos, Into the Woods includes Mark Sforzini as musical director and Derek Carden as repetiteur.

We ask for underwriting support so that we can create the best possible production of a play. Musicals in general cost more to secure the rights, and this one in particular includes the cost of live musicians and two directors. Listed below is a breakdown. With some of these items it's possible to come in under budget, but that figure is usually not known until right before we open the play.
