THE ACTOR'S TOOLBOX - MIDDLE SCHOOL

What's a monologue? And what's a slate? Where's downstage and how to get there? This course will introduce aspiring actors and theatre makers to many theatre basics - from auditioning to blocking, and monologues to scene work, young people will get a great overview of acting for the theatre and for film.We'll also utilize theatre games like improvisation and movement to unleash your inner artist and to help you grow in your craft!

INSTRUCTOR
JACOB OFFEN

Originally from Gunnison, CO, Jacob has spent over twenty years in theatre; from the stages at Gunnison High School to those of the Texas  Shakespeare Festival. For nearly a decade, he acted with and was a manager for OpenStage Theatre & Company in Fort Collins, CO. In 2017 he graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts from the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Houston. He has created and taught many Actor's Voice and Pedagogy workshops throughout the country.
