Summer Theatre Workshops
with Shoshana Partos

Shoshana Partos returned to Crested Butte and the Mountain Theatre this July to conduct two specialized theatre workshops for directors and actors, 16 years of age and older. The first on July 7th was “Exploration for Actors and Directors” which explores new techniques for performers and the creation of original work; the second workshop, on July 14th was “The Nuts and Bolts of Acting and Directing” which addresses practical questions about mounting a successful production.
Shoshana Partos has spent over 20 years working in theatre as a freelance director and over 10 years in the film industry working as a location manager and location scout. Shoshana has directed over 20 plays in Crested Butte, directing for Inside-Out Theatre Company, the Crested Butte Mountain Theatre, Western State College, and the Crested Butte Music Festival. From 2001-2004 she was the Artistic Director for CBMT. Most recently Shoshana directed A Midsummer Night's Dream, Into The Woods, and Don Giovanni. She has also worked at the Zachary Scott Theatre, Hyde Park Theatre, Refraction Arts, and Fusebox Festival in Austin, Trinity University in San Antonio, Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival in Pittsburgh, and Public Theatre in New York. Shoshana holds a MFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon University. |
