Clowning Around - Monday June 30

  Come clown around with us at the Mallardi. Your young artists will be introduced to the art of theatrical clowning and explore their own inner clown!

Paint the Town - Tuesday July 1

  Storytelling is at the heart of theatre, and on this day your young artist will be introduced to the parts of a story through CB history while designing and crafting their own Elk Avenue inside the Mallardi!

Mountain Monsters - Wednesday July 2

  On this day your young artists will play in the world of cryptids and creatures; exploring how we can embody character, express emotion through movement, and design our own unique masks!

Outdoor Orchestra - Thursday July 3

  Inspired by the sights and sounds of our Valley, your young artists will explore rhythm, discover how music inspires emotion, and bring the outdoors in through the creation of their own woods walk at the Mallardi.

 

Week-Long Camps (Grades K-4)

Forest Magic - July 14-18

  This summer, discover magic deep within the forest with CBMT and our YOUTHEATRE summer program. Our young artists will explore the wild world of characters featuring our friends from Where the Wild Things Are. Traveling into the forest, we will craft a play that welcomes creatures big or small with sound and music.

  This week will teach our young artists how to create a character with their body and voice, developing confidence and stage presence. Engaging their imagination, young artists will learn how to visualize their character through costume design, crafting their own character masks for their showcase.

Into the Storybook - July 21-25

  This summer, travel into the story with CBMT and our YOUTHEATRE summer program. In our second week of summer camp, our young artists will explore the art of storytelling with all the classics, including our dear friends, Frog & Toad. These young artists will play games, get outside, and end the week sharing their own reimagined storybook tale with you!

  This week will teach our young artists the basic elements of storytelling, stage presence, and introduce the idea of scenic design through world building. Young artists will help create the world of A Year with Frog & Toad by becoming scenic artists, offering their own creative vision for the show.

Summer-Long Camps

GREATEST SHOWMAN - June 17 - August 12 on Tuesdays (Grades 5-8)

Create magic this summer with CBMT during the Greatest Showman Youtheatre program. Explore character development, scene work, music, and dance with our teaching artists culminating in a showcase for friends and family.

TEENS ON STAGE - June 19 - August 14 on Thursdays (Grades 7-12)

 Peek behind the curtain with CBMT during our summer Teens on Stage program where young artists will write their own scenes, explore the depths of character, and design their own theatrical elements for a final showcase at the end of summer.
